Dr. Yao graduated from State University of New York Health Sciences Center, Fellowship train in Gastro-Intestinal and Hepatology Specialty. Dr. Yao was the director of the Clinical Hepatology at Mount Sinai Elmhurst Hospital, as well as the attending physician at North Shore Long Island Jewish Medical Center, New York Queens Hospital, and Flushing Hospital. Dr. Yao has vast knowledge and experience in clinical diagnosis, with focus in early stage diagnosis and Post-surgical treatment in Liver transplant patients; highly trained and skilled in Gastric Endoscopic and Colonoscopic examination; treatment of Hemorrhoids via painless infra-red laser; specialized in various types of Hepatitis with focus in types B and C, Hepatic Cirrhosis, Hepatic Cancer, Abdominal Ascetics, Jaundice, Gastric Ulcers, GERD, Chronic Constipation, and Esophageal and Colon Cancer screening.
Internal Medicine
Dr. Sun graduated from Norman Bethune College of Medicine of Jilin University in 1996. He received intensive neurosurgical training in Beijing Tiantan Hospital after graduation. In 2013, He moved to the United States and started his Internal Medicine residency training in St. Barnabas Hospital, Bronx, NY. He became board certified in internal medicine in 2016 and started working as a hospitalist at Orange Regional Medical Center in upstate NY, managing inpatients with multiple complex medical conditions. Due to his passion for community health service, Dr. Sun joined AE & LY Medical Associates in March 2019. He speaks English and Mandarin.
Gastroenterology
Dr. Raymond Diaz received his medical degree from State University of New York Downstate Medical Center College of Medicine and residency in Yale- New Haven Hospital. Dr. Diaz has been in practice for more than 20 years. Dr. Diaz also earned honors and awards, published multiple research articles in the past.

Dr. Qiu graduated from Department of Gastroenterology and Hepatology, Rutgers New Jersey Medical School and Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell. Dr.Qiu is member of American Gastroenterology Association,American Association for the Study of Liver Disease,and American College of Gastroenterology. Dr. Qiu good at management of complex GI disorders, complex liver diseases, Upper Endoscopy(EGD),Flexible Sigmoidoscopy, Small Bowel Capsule Endoscopy, Endoscopic Mucosal Resection, and Esophageal PH Exam/Bravo.
Internal Medicine
Dr. Aung graduated from Institute of Medicine 1 Yangon, one of the top medical schools in Burma (Myanmar) in 2006. Then, he moved to the United States and began his 3 year residency training in internal medicine at Wyckoff Heights Medical Center which is affiliated with New York Medical College. His postgraduate training was completed in 2015 and in that same year, he became a Board Certified Internal Medicine Physician and practiced medicine in New York. As an experienced primary care physician, he took care of patients from a very diverse community for 6 years and he takes pride in providing the best comprehensive care possible. Dr.Aung has been taking care of; Diabetes, Hypertension, Heart Disease, Asthma, COPD, Headache, Dizziness, Arthritis, Gastritis, Gastroenteritis, UTI, Burn, Pneumonia, Physical/ Job Physical, Immunization etc. Dr. Aung joined AE & LY Medical Associate in September 2021. Dr. Aung is multilingual as he speaks fluent in English, conversational in Mandarin, Chinese, native in Burmese and rudimentary in Spanish. He is a sincere and caring doctor.
Senior Physician Assistant
Helen obtained her Master’s degree in Medicine from Tianjin Medical University in China in 1999, and then graduated as Valedictorian of the Physician Assistant program at Touro College. She later on completed the Post-professional Physician Assistant Master Program and the Advanced Certificate in nutrition program from SUNY at Stony Brook.
After graduation, Helen has practiced in the fields of Cardiology, Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Internal Medicine. She has been working in AE & LY Medical Associates since 2007. Helen is experienced in treating medical problems in internal medicine such as Hypertension, Diabetes, Hypercholesterolemia, Heart Disease, Stock, Allergy, Back Pain, and upper or lower respiratory infection, also in treating GI/Hepatology diseases such as Peptic Ulcer, GERD, Intestinal Disease, Fatty Liver, all kinds of hepatitis and GI Cancer
Senior Physician Assistant
Ms. Kuo has lived in Queens, New York for over 30 years after arriving from Taiwan at the age of 3. She started building her work ethics and found her passion for helping people during high school when she was working part time in the emergency department as a medical clerk.
She stayed close to home for her family and attended Saint John’s University, where she obtained her Bachelors of Science as a Physician Assistant. She started her physician assistant career at NYU Medical Center in the Neurosurgery Department. She later received a great opportunity to work at Johns Hopkins Hospital in the Neurosurgery Department.
She returned home to New York due to family matters afterwards, and received more growing opportunities in the Internal Medicine and Cardiology private practice for several years. She has been working in Flushing, New York for many years to help the Chinese patient population receive quality medical care.
Ms. Kuo ultimately found the right fit for her career working at AE & LY Medical Associates since 2012. She received the opportunity to gain more clinical experience and knowledge from Dr. Alan Yao in Gastroenterology and Hepatology, and Dr. Ellen Liang in Internal Medicine and Women’s Health.
Physician Assistant
Jack Chen graduated from Touro College Manhattan School of Health Science’s Physician Assistant Program with a master’s degree and was Certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants in 2022.Prior to his career as a PA, he was exposed to a variety of medical specialties including gastroenterology, internal medicine, psychiatry, surgery, family medicine, emergency medicine, ENT, and orthopedics. Jack joined AE&LY Medical Associates as a certified Physician Assistant in 2022. He is a hard working and patient health care provider who strives to provide quality care to our patients.
